Why You Should Stay at Port Orleans - Riverside

Choosing a resort for your Walt Disney World vacation can be overwhelming. With offerings ranging from basic to luxurious, there is a resort to fit every person. Here are some reasons why you might choose to stay at one of the Moderate Resorts: Port Orleans - Riverside.

Lush landscaping! The grounds at Port Orleans - Riverside, an old South-themed resort, complete with working mill wheel, are richly planted and feature shaded pathways offering a nice break from the intense Florida sun.

Nicely appointed rooms. All of the rooms at this resort have been fitted with queen size beds, double sinks, a mini fridge, and coffee maker. Some rooms have a sweet little pull down bed, suitable for a child or tween. A limited number of Royal Rooms feature princess themed decor as well.

Yee Ha Bob entertains in the River Roost Lounge, most weeks Wednesday to Sunday. This rollicking, family friendly show is not to be missed.

Location, location, location. You are just a short boat ride away from Disney Springs - Disney World's shopping and dining district.

Recreation. Guests at Port Orleans - Riverside enjoy Ol' Man Island swimming pool, complete with a water slide and five quiet pools. You can also fish in the Sassagoula river with their cane fishing rods, and the kids will enjoy a shaded playground.

Dining options include a Food Court and Boatwright's, a southern themed sit down restaurant.

My family has enjoyed several stays at Port Orleans - Riverside and we plan to be back again soon!
