Our Favorite Character Meals

Vacation Specialist Whitney Mattox says her favorite character meal is Akershus located in EPCOT at the Norway Pavilion. As you can see, her little girls got lots of love from the princesses there PLUS an awesome birthday cupcake and card! Maria Marquez-Merritt's family loves Akershus as well. You meet lots of princesses here and you can even eat before the park officially opens for the day!!

Vacation Specialist Mary Graham's family enjoys Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom AND Crystal Palace, a Buffet With Character at Magic Kingdom with Winnie the Pooh and friends. Both have become family traditions. Her favorite dish can be found on the children's buffet: Pooh's Puffed French Toast.

Lynne Macolini loves O'Hana at the Polynesian Village resort. There, breakfast is served family style and you can meet Lilo and Stitch, along with Mickey and Pluto. Lynne says, "It's a little calmer and not as chaotic as some of the other character meals."

Vacation Specialist Chrissie Lograno-Weinstein enjoys both Garden Grill, located in The Land pavilion in EPCOT and 1900 Park Fare dinner located in the Grand Floridian Resort.

Garden Grill features a family-style meal with Farmer Mickey, his best pal Pluto plus Chop and Dale. Says Chrissie, "We LOVE Garden Grill dinner!! :) The food is awesome. We love the family style service and all of the fresh veggies grown right there in Epcot!! The character interaction is great here too! You never know what Chip and Dale are going to be up to! :) Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale are all dressed in their farm clothes and look absolutely adorable. The rotating restaurant is fun and you don't even feel the movement but the change in scenery is great!"

In addition, Chrissie recommends 1900 Park Fare. "We also love 1900 Park Fare for dinner! The menu changes seasonally but the character interaction is fabulous! Anastasia, Drizella and Lady Tremaine steal the show right out from under Cinderella and Prince Charming in our opinion! They are so much fun, witty and are hilarious. The kids love to watch Cinderella and Prince Charming dance too!"

So, there you have it! Our favorite character meals at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida!! Be sure to include at least one on your next vacation.
