I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing several of the wonderful resorts at Walt Disney World. I’ve loved them all and as most of us do, I’ve developed my list of favorites. The Beach Club Resort is definitely in the top of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World. Let me tell you why!
The Ambiance!
The Beach Club Resort, along with her sister resort The Yacht Club, boasts a New England seaside theme circa the 1880’s. Cross the wooden bridge and step into the resort lobby to be Welcomed Home. Feel the instant sense of tranquility as you take in the casual New England seashore décor in soft blues and creams.
A Room with a View!
There are a variety of well-appointed room options. Standard Room categories offer a Standard, Garden, or Water View that will accommodate up to 5 guests. A Deluxe Room is slightly larger than a Standard Room and will accommodate up to 6 guests. Club Level Standard and Garden view rooms and Club Level 1-Bedroom Suites accommodate up to 4 guests. A Club Level 2-Bedroom Suite accommodates up to 7 guests.
Our personal favorite is a corner Standard or Deluxe Water View Room overlooking Crescent Lake. You can hear the occasional soothing horns of the water transportation vessels and relax on your balcony enjoying a gentle breeze and a great view of the beach and the activities across the lake on the BoardWalk.
Pools and Recreation!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort and her sister resort, the Yacht Club, share Stormalong Bay, a 3-acre beachside water park. Feel the currents in a sand-bottomed pool; float along the lazy river; or take a plunge down a 230-foot waterslide in a ship wrecked pirate ship. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, rent a Poolside Cabana or relax at one of 3 Quiet Pools located around the Resort.
Ahoy Mateys! Book your kids 4 to 12 years of age on a 2 hour Pirate Adventure Treasure Cruise that departs from the Beach Club and Yacht Club Marina (advance reservations required; additional fees apply).
Rent your own motorized watercraft and cruise Crescent Lake at your own pace
Keep in shape with several jogging and walking paths and a fitness center.
In the evening relax around an old-fashioned family campfire as you roast marshmallows or enjoy your favorite Disney films with Movies Under the Stars.
Dining!
Dining options abound! Grab a hot quick service Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Late Night meal or choose from a variety of snacks and beverages at the Beach Club Marketplace. Take them to-go or relax in the Solarium or at an outdoor garden table.
Enjoy lunch and bar service at Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill. Relax over a drink and some appetizers at Martha’s Vineyard Lounge.
Have an entertaining and interactive character Breakfast, Brunch, or Dinner hosted by Minnie Mouse and her friends at the Cape May Café.
That’s not to mention all the great dining options at The Beach Club’s sister resort, the Yacht Club, as well as the other dining options available across the lake on the BoardWalk.
My personal recommendation is The Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club Resort. This is a Signature dining restaurant loaded with classic atmosphere and amazing food that won’t disappoint (don’t forget to try their specialty desert Crème Brulée)!
Last But Not Least – Location, Location, Location!!
The Beach Club Resort is conveniently located just steps away from Epcot. A brief walk over the bridge or a quick boat ride gains you access to Epcot via the International Gateway entrance located in the World Showcase side of Epcot.
Hollywood Studios is also within walking distance (it’s a bit of a healthier walk!) or is just a short boat ride away. Also from the International Gateway entrance in Epcot you can board the new Disney Skyliner, opening on September 29, 2019, for gondola transportation to Hollywood Studios.
There is so much to see and do while staying at the Beach Club Resort - In the evening you can sit on the beach or on the BoardWalk and see the Eiffel Tower of France peering through the trees. You can spot the fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios in the distance. My husband and I love to take the brief walk over to Epcot in the morning for a breakfast of crepes or croissants in France.
Along with the Beach Club activities, you can also enjoy the activities and entertainment offered on the Boardwalk. You will love the quick and easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Once you stay at the Beach Club Resort, it will quickly be added to your list of favorites too!
