Walt Disney World
A parade down Main Street U. S. A. was held on Monday to celebrate the New England Patriots sixth Super Bowl win. Captain Tom Brady and Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman were on hand for the celebration. In addition to the parade, the duo spent part of the morning riding Slinky Dog Dash and dressing up as Jedis at Hollywood Studios.
The entire lineup for Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival’s Garden Rocks! Series has been released. The lineup has been expanded to run daily from March 6 – June 3rd. Some notable acts i
nclude Air Supply, Rick Springfield, Steven Curtis Chapman, Lonestar, and Richard Marx.
Walt Disney World’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are testing out new smart speakers in select guest rooms. Guests will be able to use their voice to request park hours, bus arrival times, weather and more.
Disneyland
A new enhancement to the Disneyland app has been released. The update allows for mobile ordering at over 20 quick service restaurants.
Disneyland has announced an all new celebration of “The Lion King” running for a limited time this summer.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland
Reusable shopping bags have been introduced at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. At Walt Disney World there will be seven different bags introduced; one for each theme park, a resort hotels bag, a Disney Springs bag, and shared Walt Disney World inspired bag. At Disneyland there will be four bags; one for Disneyland, California Adventure, the Downtown Disney shopping district, and the resort hotels. The bags are offered for a nominal fee as an alternative to plastic bags.
