Sometimes, it's the simple things done well that truly appeal. One restaurant my family goes back to again and again is Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in the Italy pavilion. The menu features wood-fired pizzas, salads and pasta plus a delicious sangria.
The wood fired ovens are so much fun! Each one is named for a volcano in Italy: Vesuvius, Stromboli and Etna.
As with the rest of World Showcase, the Cast Members at Via Napoli are from Italy. Take some time to chat with them. They are happy to tell you about their hometowns!
We usually order pizza and salads when we eat at Via Napoli, but the pasta is also good. I suggest ordering a variety to share. The Carciofi Pizza is a white pizza with artichokes, fontina, mozzarella (they import it from Italy!) and truffle oil. Delicious! If that's out of your comfort zone, no worries! Via Napoli also has a section of the menu called Pizza Classiche which features familiar American style flavors like Pepperoni Pizza and Margherita Pizza.
So, there you have it! My look at Via Napoli Ristorante & Pizzeria. Give it a try the next time you plan a trip to the World Showcase!!
