Óbidos, a small town in Portugal, is considered great for several reasons, many of which revolve around its rich history, culture, and picturesque charm. At only an hour north of Lisbon, it can easily be incorporated into your trip.
Óbidos is often described as a living museum. It is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Portugal, with narrow cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses adorned with bougainvillea, and historical buildings at every corner. Walking through the town feels like stepping back in time.
