AMResorts has announced that reopening of Dreams Playa Bonita in Panama has been pushed to March 10, 2021.

 

AmaWaterways has announced a new itinerary, Rhine Castles & Swiss Alps river journey which will begin in 2021. Experience the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland. This seven-night cruise along the Rhine River, you can see iconic landmarks and majestic mountains while visiting charming villages and historic castles.

 

The Cove at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas is expected to Reopen on February 11, 2021. They will be following the comprehensive Atlantis Clean & Safe Promise which includes enhanced cleaning practices, social interactions and workplace protocols to prevent the spread of Covid.

 

Club Med has opened the new all-inclusive ski resort in North America, Quebec Charlevoix on December 10th. Welcoming families and couples, this unique resort in the heart of the Charlevoix region is built between the river and the mountains. Guests can enjoy all four seasons with activities in and around the resort.

 

Adventures by Disney has decided to suspend most of our adventures through the end of March.


In addition, the following Disneyland Resort and Southern California Adventure/Short Escape departures have also been suspended:

  • Disneyland Resort & Southern California Short Escape – 4/8/21, 4/15/21

  • Disneyland Resort & Southern California Adventure – 4/4/21

Note: This does not impact guests booked on the March 15 and March 24 Arizona & Utah Adventures, or the March 27 Costa Rica Adventure.

 

Cruise News


Virgin Voyages has suspended sailings of its first ship, the Scarlet Lady, until May 8th. Its first cruise is scheduled to depart from Miami on May 9th. Virgin Voyages second ship, the Valiant Lady, is expected to launch from Miami on November 14, 2021.

Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled their February sailings from Baltimore, Charleston, Jacksonville, Long Beach, Mobile, New Orleans, San Diego, Miami, Port Canaveral, and Galveston. The inaugural sailing of the Mardi Gras has been pushed to April 24th. The Carnival Legend departing from Tampa is suspended through March 26th.

 

Royal Caribbean has also suspended sailings until February 28th however Australia sailings are suspended through April 30th, and the Spectrum of the Seas sailings in China are suspended through January 20th.

 

Cunard line has extended their sailing suspensions for the Queen Mary 2 through May 28th, for the Queen Elizabeth through June 4th, and for the Queen Victoria through May 17th.

 

Princess Cruises has extended its sailing suspensions through March 31st. They also cancelled all cruises in and out of Japan through June 25th. All itineraries longer than seven days leaving from US ports have been cancelled through November 2021.

 

Holland America sailings are suspended through March 31st. They have also cancelled US port itineraries eight days or longer through November 1, 2021.

 

Theme Park News


Walt Disney World


The Taste of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival will begin March 3, 2021 and run through July 5th. Favorite character topiaries will be on display. There will be over 20 outdoor kitchens and food and beverage stops throughout World Showcase. Once again, they will host Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt around the countries.


Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is scheduled to close for refurbishment on January 3rd and will reopen April 1st.


Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort had previously announced it would re-open February 9th however, that date has been pushed back to March 21, 2021. Guests with reservations prior to March 21 should contact their travel advisor for assistance in modifying their reservation.


Disney’s Beach Club will be re-opening May 30th.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be re-opening June 6th.


Disney’s Hollywood Studios has updated their virtual Queue for the Rise of the Resistance attraction. Virtual queue distribution will be at 7am, as previously announced, and the second opportunity has been changed to 1pm beginning December 20th.


The Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel will be opening Summer 2021. It will be adjacent to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts, and it is part of the Marriot Autograph Collection. The hotel is walking distance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Complimentary transportation will be available to the theme parks and Disney Springs. Rooms will vary from a 2 queen guest room to a presidential suite. Guests of the resort can enjoy all of the amenities of the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort including 18 restaurants and lounges, 6 pools, and a private beach.

Disneyland Resort


Snow White’s Scary Adventures has been undergoing a magical reimagination. Disneyland Park’s only ride-through princess attraction has been reimagined and renamed as Snow White’s Enchanted Wish! While Disneyland Park has been closed, Walt Disney Imagineering has been putting the finishing touches on this favorite attraction. Imagineers have updated this classic Fantasyland attraction with new magic inside and out. Using state-of-the-art audio and visual technology, including new music, LED black lighting, laser projections and a new animation system, the attraction brings to life Snow White’s “happily ever after.”

 

Universal Orlando Resort


Loews Portofino Bay and Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites are now open.


Universal’s Aventura Resort will remain closed until June 30, 2021

Loews Sapphire Falls will remain closed until February 8, 2021.

Universal’s Endless Summer – Surfside Inn and Suites will be closed January 4 through March 30, 2021.
