What we did during early park admission at Universal Orlando

Updated: Nov 15

Back in October a number of the Coasters & Castles Travel Advisors ventured out early to enjoy early park admission. It's a fabulous benefit and if you are eligible I'd highly recommend taking advantage of it.

There are two ways to be eligible;

One, stay on property at a Universal Orlando Resort hotel or buy your tickets from a travel advisor like those at Coasters & Castles Travel.

Early admission is one hour prior to park opening and varies which park it's at every month. For example this month it's at Islands of Adventure from 8am-9am. It can make for a VERY early morning depending on where you are coming from but it's totally worth it! Similar to Walt Disney World I'd recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to early admission to be towards the front of the crowd and in case they allow guests in early. Here is a breakdown of our morning back in October:

7:30am I arrived at the turnstiles even though the park was scheduled to open at 8am 7:50am they began the opening ceremony and then allowed guests thru 7:58am we were in the queue for Hagrid's which began in the Lost Continent 8:22am we were boarding our bikes so a 20 minute wait! 8:30am after exiting the lockers I noticed the wait was 90 minutes!! Yikes!

8:40am we were in line for VelociCoaster! There queue was full but it moved quickly. 9:10am we were already off, got our belongings back and were outside the attraction 9:23am we made our way to Seuss Landing for High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride for a nice break (much needed after those first two attractions!) 9:30am Lisa and I stopped by Green Eggs and Ham. I got the Green Eggs and Ham Tots and Lisa the Buffalo Chicken tots. They were both really good!

Not a bad morning! By 10am when most people are just starting to pour into the park we had already ridden 3 attractions and had breakfast! But most importantly we did two of the most popular attractions in the park so the rest of the day would be a breeze.

Ready for an epic vacation? Look no further than Universal Orlando resort for a vacation the entire family will enjoy. And be sure to contact one of the wonderful travel advisors at Coasters & Castles to plan your next vacation.
